Sapphire Reserve City Guide: Miami

¡Bienvenidos a Miami!

Picture a Miami vacation: What do you see? Beachgoers dodging the sun beneath striped umbrellas? Art Deco buildings aglow with neon? Late nights with bottle service and velvet ropes? It's true—you’ll find all that here. But the Magic City has learned some new tricks. West of the causeways, far from showy South Beach, Miami has become a truly global destination, where lounging by the water and partying till dawn are only part of the agenda.

We've designed five itineraries to help acquaint (or reacquaint) you with Miami. Carefully researched and vetted by the experts at The Infatuation Miami and Chase Travel, each one starts at a specific location around town, and is stacked with great stops—including some amazing restaurants. Load up on free art (and dry-aged rib eye) in the Design District; hit up museums around Wynwood; and sip poolside piña coladas in South Beach. Or, opt for a low-key, locals-approved beach day in Key Biscayne and take a food crawl down the Cuban confluence of Calle Ocho. The options have never been greater, so go build your own adventure. We’re right behind you.

How to Get Around

Rent a Car

You’ll have the most freedom with a set of wheels, but be aware that driving in Miami can get heated. Do your best to avoid the roads at rush hour.

Order a Rideshare

Your best bet for zipping around. But take heed: when the city is busy, waits for rides can exceed 10 minutes. Plan accordingly.

Mass Transit

The citywide trolley goes all over town, while the Metromover operates only in the downtown and Brickell neighborhoods. Both are free to use.
