2023 PGA Championship: How to get tickets

minute read

An unquestionable peak of any golfer's career could be winning the PGA Championship®. It's an event of great prestige, and winning may cement a player's name in the golf history books or even catapult them into super-stardom.

In this article, we'll tell you how to score tickets to one of golf's most anticipated events of the year.

When and where is the 2023 PGA Championship?

In 2023, it's taking place at Oak Hill Country Club in Pittsford, New York — just outside Rochester. The courses here are known as the East and the West, and the East Course is where the PGA Championship has taken place three times already. All the action of the 2023 PGA Championship will take place May 15 - 21, 2023. This includes events and attractions on the week days leading up to tournament play, which begins on Thursday, May 18, 2023.

Oak Hill Country Club has a long history that centers on golf. It started out in 1901 with a single nine-hole golf course but grew over time to feature two resplendent 18-hole courses. The grounds have a signature expanse of trees (over 40,000 of them). The number and magnitude may pose the greatest challenge that golfers encounter here, as they tend to line every fairway. Couple this hallmark of the grounds with their diverse terrain, and golfers usually find their abilities to line up perfect shots are constantly challenged.

How much are tickets to the PGA Championship?

Ticket prices vary depending on which events or days you want to attend. A full week of events lead up to the PGA Championship rounds played Thursday through Sunday. Daily tickets in 2023 start at $55 for pre-championship events.

The starting prices of tickets on each day are as follows:

    • Monday – Wednesday: Starts at $55 (plus taxes and fees)
    • Thursday: First round, starts at $200 (plus taxes and fees)
    • Friday: Second round, starts at $265 (plus taxes and fees)
    • Saturday: Third round, starts at $270 (plus taxes and fees)
    • Sunday: Championship round, starts at $270 (plus taxes and fees)
    • Packages: You can purchase multi-day packages through PGA's website starting at $1,950.

It's typically cheaper to attend on Thursday than on Sunday, when the final championship round is played. That's a popular day to attend because many spectators want to watch the most consequential play and see a champion hoist the Wanamaker Trophy.
