Get to know Chase Pay in 4℠

The flexible way to manage your finances by paying for eligible debit card purchases over time

General FAQs about Pay in 4

Chase Pay in 4℠ is a loan product that lets customers split eligible Chase debit card purchases between $50.00 and $400.00 into 4 equal payments. There is no interest, plus no fees when you pay your loan on time (but there's a $5.00 fee for late or missed payments). Look for “Split into 4 payments" next to an eligible purchase.

After you set up a plan, we'll put the full purchase amount back into your Chase checking account—in most cases, within 24 hours. Your first payment is due 2 weeks after the plan is set up. Then, you'll make payments every 2 weeks until the balance is paid in full.

Keep in mind: You’ll have a maximum of $400.00 to use across all active Pay in 4 plans.

We will report information about Pay in 4 loans to credit bureaus.

Late payments, missed payments or other defaults on your account may be reflected in your credit report. Currently, your Pay in 4 plans and payment history won't affect your credit score, but that may change in the future. Because the calculation of your credit score can vary between credit bureaus, we suggest periodically checking to see how Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) data is reflected in your report.

If you think we've reported information incorrectly, you can dispute it with us and/or with the credit reporting agency. Please send us detailed information indicating what you think is inaccurate and why, and include any documentation you have. The dispute notice should include a Pay in 4 loan number, the date the loan was setup and include any supporting documentation to substantiate the dispute, which may include marked-up copies of the credit report specifying the information that is being disputed.
