Personal credit bureaus
There are three major national credit reporting companies for personal credit:
- Equifax
- TransUnion
- Experian
Each company in this trio employs different methods for evaluating your credit history. For this reason, your credit rating or score may be different for each.
Many other reporting companies exist, but these are the three you are most likely to encounter when it comes to your personal credit history.
