Opening doors for small businesses

Contracting assistance programs are like the government’s version of supplier diversity programs. They offer support to small businesses, including those that are owned and operated by historically marginalized groups. The SBA runs a variety of these programs.

 

Helps businesses that meet certain SBA criteria compete for contracts.

Set aside federal contracts in industries where women-owned businesses are underrepresented.

Award contracts and other opportunities to veterans, including those who are service-disabled.

Connects qualifying business owners with resources, technical assistance and training.

Encourages small business growth in historically underutilized urban and rural communities.
