It’s been an exciting year for Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club visitors, with openings in New York (LGA and JFK) and Phoenix (PHX). And on Friday, Dec. 6, Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club at San Diego International Airport (SAN) will make its debut. Here’s what to know about this upcoming lounge, plus other locations you can enjoy in the meantime. (Featured photo: Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club at LaGuardia Airport.)

    Coming Soon to San Diego

When it opens in San Diego International Airport’s Terminal 2 on Dec. 6, the newest Chase Sapphire Lounge will be the first West Coast location, spanning more than 10,000 square feet.

As with all Chase Sapphire Lounges, the interiors are inspired by the surrounding city. You’ll see surfboards designed by local muralist Hanna Daly, and a digital wall displaying drone footage of the nearby coastline. Elaborating on the Southern California theme is an à la carte menu by San Diego favorite Oscars Mexican Seafood, plus coffee from California’s Groundwork. There will also be a wine list curated by Parcelle, one of the country’s top wine retailers.

To help guests relax before long flights, there’s a wellness area with bookable private rest pods, on-demand digital meditations from wellness educator Devi Brown and facial treatments from Face Haus, a women-owned facial bar that started in Los Angeles. Also available are classic Chase Sapphire lounge amenities, including quiet workspaces, nursing and family rooms, private bathrooms, a shower and high-speed Wi-Fi.

    Chase Sapphire Airport Lounges

Until the Chase Sapphire Lounge opens at SAN, there are several other locations to visit around the world, including outposts in Boston (BOS), Hong Kong (HKG), New York (JFK and LGA) and Phoenix (PHX). Cardmembers also have access to The Etihad Lounge in Washington, D.C. (IAD). At each lounge, you’ll enjoy complimentary food, drinks, alcoholic beverages and access to on-demand digital meditations.

Opened in the spring of 2023, the Boston lounge offers more than a few reasons to head to the airport early. Across the 11,640-square-foot-space—located after security, between gates B39 and B40 in the B to C connector—you’ll find two shower rooms, massage chairs, a large bar and a dining room where guests can enjoy local beers and a seasonal menu from Boston-based chef Douglass Williams of MIDA.

Equally impressive is the Chase Sapphire Lounge at NYC’s LaGuardia Airport, which rounded out the airport’s recent overhaul when it debuted in January 2024. Located in Terminal B, the 21,800-square-foot space is spread across two floors, with amenities like a wellness area and game room. Food and beverages come courtesy of New York City institutions like Joseph Leonard and Joe Coffee; there are also cocktails from Apotheke and a wine list curated by Parcelle. After filling up, book a complimentary 30-minute facial with Face Haus. You’ll even leave with a skincare kit from the brand.
