Early December is all about Miami Art Week—not to mention sunny weather, fantastic meals and must-visit beaches. Each year, emerging artists, prospective collectors and the who's who of the creative world flock to the area for a week of art-focused programming and exhibitions. What's included in the package
The Miami Art Week package includes a three-night stay for two at 1 Hotel South Beach, including daily breakfast for two, a $100 property credit, a welcome amenity and more. You'll also have access to on-property amenities, such as beach and poolside seating, complimentary bike rentals, Anatomy Gym access and workout classes.
The package also includes a stacked itinerary of exclusive events: a curator-led art tour, a private guided visit to SCOPE Art Show presented by Chase Sapphire Reserve, a cocktail reception, welcome and closing dinners and much more. Round-trip transportation is also included to and from all scheduled events.
What you'll do
Kick off your three-day Miami Art Week adventure on Thursday with a welcome dinner and rooftop cocktails at Klaw, a sophisticated bistro with a seafood and steak-forward menu. The restaurant is in the historic Woman's Club of Miami building in Edgewater, where you'll enjoy waterfront Miami Beach views alongside "the greatest surf and turf dinner in Miami," per our friends at The Infatuation, who gave it a high 8.6 rating.
After a good night's rest at 1 Hotel South Beach, enjoy complimentary breakfast for two, then hit the beach or go for a morning bike ride. For lunch, you'll head to the stunning Elastika restaurant in the Design District, named for the Zaha Hadid installation that greets you when you enter, and known for its seasonal modern-American cuisine. A private guided visit to SCOPE Art Show presented by Chase Sapphire Reserve will follow. The show is one of Miami's most prominent annual art exhibitions with a focus on emerging contemporary artists and will feature over 100 international exhibitors. After the show and a cocktail reception in the Sapphire Reserve Lounge, you’ll enjoy VIP access to the Sapphire Presents concert at SCOPE Art Show.
On Saturday, you'll have your choice of curator-led tours of contemporary art at Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) set in Maurice A. Ferré Park, immersive art in the 50,000-square foot space that comprises Superblue Miami, or galleries from five continents at Art Basel Miami, one of the largest international art fairs in North America.
The night ends with a closing alfresco dinner in the aptly named Mammoth Garden at Faena Hotel Miami Beach, known for its massive Damien Hirst sculpture and lush, tree-framed beach views.
Sunday starts at your leisure, with breakfast included. Fuel up with fresh-pressed juices or heartier classics like avocado toast and made-to-order omelets at the robust buffet, then lounge by one of the pools or head to the beach before checking out. Where you'll stay
Your Miami Art Week package includes a stay at 1 Hotel South Beach, a nature-inspired hotel located on 600 feet of prime Miami shoreline. Relax at the main pool, the adults-only rooftop pool or the cabana pool, or visit the Bamford wellness spa and Anatomy Fitness Center.
The hotel also has six restaurants and bars, including Japanese-influenced Watr, the hotel's rooftop eatery, which sits 18 stories above the beach and plant-based Plnthouse, which is exclusively open to guests. The airy rooms have city or ocean views and large windows to take them in. They're also filled with greenery, reclaimed wood and a neutral, modern color palette. When you're not out and about at Miami Art Week, 1 Hotel offers activities like yoga and Soul Cycle classes.
How to book
Go to experiences.chase.com and log in using your Chase account credentials. After loading the Chase Experiences page, you'll scroll down to Miami Art Week and select the experience. After the experience page loads, add it to your cart and click to proceed to checkout. You can then enter your guest names, enter your Chase Sapphire Reserve card information or opt to redeem your Ultimate Rewards Points.
After checking out, you'll receive a confirmation email—you'll receive a detailed itinerary and your hotel booking confirmation prior to travel. Note that availability is limited and the package may sell out at any time.
