If you’ve traveled with United Airlines before, you may know that the airline offers access to several luxurious lounges to premium class passengers, frequent flyers and members of certain loyalty programs.

    United Club® lounge

    United Airlines offers a place for passengers to relax before or after their flight. The United Club® lounge is available to United Club members, Star Alliance Gold members, passengers traveling in United Polaris, Business Class or United First Class, and passengers who purchase a one-time pass.

    United Club lounge amenities and perks

    Each lounge offers different amenities and services, depending on the airport. Generally, you can find a range of amenities to make your travel experience a more enjoyable one. This includes complimentary refreshments, snacks, spacious areas to sit, private restrooms and high-speed Wi-Fi.

    How to access United lounges

    To enter a lounge, you will need a boarding pass for same-day travel, along with a one-time pass, and your valid United Club membership card or an eligible United credit card. Below are more details on how to access a lounge with those credentials, though these are subject to change.     Membership through a credit card

    Some Chase United credit cards provide a United Club membership to card members. This membership can provide access to United Club lounges. If you have a United Club℠ Business Card or United Club℠ Infinite Card, you can receive a United Club membership and use it to access United Club lounges.

    United ClubSM Business Card benefits include:

    • 2x miles per $1 spent on United purchases, dining, at gas stations, office supply stores and on local commuting
    • 1x mile per $1 spent on all other purchases
    • United ClubSM membership (up to a $650 value per year)
    • Free first and second checked bags (terms apply)
    • Premier access® travel services, including priority check-in, security boarding and baggage handling privileges (where available)
    • 25% back on United inflight and Club premium drink purchases

    United ClubSM Infinite Card benefits include:

    • 4x miles per $1 spent on United purchases
    • 2x miles per $1 spent on all other travel and dining including eligible delivery services
    • 1x mile per $1 spent on all other purchases
    • United ClubSM membership (up to a $650 value per year)
    • Free first and second checked bags (terms apply)
    • Premier access® travel services, including priority check-in, security boarding and baggage handling privileges (where available)
    • Up to $120 Global Entry, TSA PreCheck® or NEXUS fee credit
    • 25% back on United inflight and Club premium drink purchases

    One-time pass

    A United Club one-time pass provides one person admission to a United Club lounge location. The pass is good for single use and does not include admission for guests. Children under 2 years old may accompany someone with a one-time pass into a United Club lounge. The expiration date will be printed on the passes, and they are not refundable, sellable, or transferrable.

    A valid mobile or paper United Club one-time pass and boarding pass for same-day travel on United, Star Alliance or a contracted partner operated flight must be presented.

    As of September 2024, the price of a one-time pass is $59. You can buy a one-time pass on the United mobile app, which is also handy to have if you need to view or manage your flight information. Access to any Club location is subject to space availability. 

    Loyalty membership

    Access to United lounges is primarily available to United Club members, United Polaris business class customers, Star Alliance Gold members and other eligible travelers. United Club membership is available for purchase and prices are based on your current MileagePlus status level (subject to change).

    Ticket class

    Passengers traveling in the United Polaris business class have automatic access to the United Club lounge. Star Alliance Gold members can access United Club Lounges when traveling on a Star Alliance member airline flight.

    United Lounge locations

    As of November 2024, United has over 45 United Club Lounge locations worldwide. You can find most United Club Lounges in the airport terminals, usually near the gates for United Airlines flights.
