Navigating to and from Boston Logan
There are several ground transportation options for those headed to and from BOS, including traveling by water:
- Taxi: Taxi stands can be found on the arrivals level of Terminals A, B, C and E. Taxi dispatchers are available at each terminal to help answer transportation questions.
- Rideshare: Each terminal has a designated rideshare pickup zone. Request your ride when you get to baggage claim and follow signs for “Ride App.”
- Public transportation: There are several MBTA options that provide public transit options to and from Boston Logan, including the Blue Line subway, Silver Line bus (Line 1) and water ferry.
- Logan Express: The Logan Express airport shuttle bus takes passengers directly to the airport from five different locations (Back Bay, Braintree, Framingham, Peabody and Woburn).
- Water transportation: Various ferries and water taxis connect Boston and surrounding areas to BOS. Visit BOS’ website for water transportation information.
- Car rental: The BOS Rental Car Center (RCC) is located at 15 Transportation Way. Arriving passengers can take the On-Airport Shuttle (Routes 22, 33 or 55) to the RCC. The blue shuttles depart every 5-6 minutes on the lower level of each terminal.
Parking options at Boston Logan
BOS provides short and long-term parking options just minutes away from each terminal. If you park in the Economy Parking Garage, you can take the free shuttle bus to all terminals. There are also designated parking spaces in each garage for hybrid, electric and alternative fuel vehicles.

How early to get to Boston Logan
Most airport officials suggest arriving two hours prior to domestic flights and three hours prior to international flights. Travelers may want to budget additional time if they are flying on a holiday or during peak hours.

Boston Logan terminal information
BOS has four terminals: A, B, C and E. All terminals are connected by passenger walkways. Here’s how to travel between terminals:
- Airport shuttle bus (outside security): Several free shuttle buses operate between the terminals, RCC and airport station. Shuttles pick up from each stop approximately every 5-6 minutes.
- Walkways (inside security): Passengers may travel between Terminals C and E without re-clearing security, except for those arriving on international flights who need to go through customs.
- Walkways (outside security): Passengers may use terminal connections outside security as well. Terminal E has walkways to Terminals A, B and C; Terminal B has a walkway to Terminal C.
Additional terminal information includes:
- Terminal A: Has a main building and a satellite concourse, which is accessible through an underground tunnel with moving walkways.
- Terminal B: Operates domestic flights only. Has a U-shaped layout with parking in the center.
- Terminal C: Has an X-shaped layout. Ticketing is in the center, and departure gates are along the four legs.
- Terminal E: Main international terminal with walkways to all other terminals.
Priority Pass lounges at Boston Logan
If you’re a Priority Pass member, you may access to three lounges in the Priority Pass network at BOS. Access to each lounge is permitted three hours prior to your scheduled flight, and children under two are admitted for free.

Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club
The BOS location of the Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club is in the Terminal B to Terminal C connector; the closest gate is B40.
Priority Pass members without a Chase Sapphire Reserve® credit card may enter U.S. locations of the Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club by using one of their lounge entitlements once per calendar year (subject to capacity).
Guest visits or additional visits in addition to the one entry entitlement will be charged a preferential rate of $75 (payable to the lounge; price subject to change).
Chase Sapphire Reserve cardmembers are also eligible for unlimited complimentary access with up to two guests at no additional charge (as capacity allows). Keep in mind that this card is subject to an annual fee.

The Lounge
The Lounge is located on the first floor of Terminal C, across from gate C19. Note that it is not accessible from gates 40-42.
Priority Pass members may use one lounge entitlement to enter; other airport guests may purchase a day pass from The Club’s website.

Air France Lounge
The Air France Lounge is in Terminal E. After security, take a right toward gate 4. Then take the lounge’s dedicated elevator or stairs for entry.
Priority Pass members may use one lounge entitlement for entry; other guests may receive entry based on their cabin level or Air France loyalty status.

Things to do at Boston Logan
If you’re spending extended time at BOS, there’s plenty to do at the airport and surrounding areas:
- Explore downtown Boston: If you have several hours before your next flight, you may have time to take the MBTA Blue Line subway or Silver Line bus downtown for sightseeing. Popular attractions include Faneuil Hall Marketplace, the Freedom Trail and the Italian cafes and bakeries in the North End.
- Try local flavors at the airport: Only have a few hours to spare? You may want to consider having a meal or a drink within the airport at popular local spots like Legal Seafoods, Harpoon Taproom or the Sam Adams Brewhouse.
