The KPMG Women's PGA Championship guide
The KPMG Women's PGA Championship continues to be one of the premier professional golf tournaments for women in the world. The championship showcases an esteemed array of elite women golfers who are widely recognized as the finest in their sport on an international scale. Winning the KPMG Women's PGA Championship is a significant achievement for any professional golfer.
The championship features 156 players and is a 72-hole stroke play competition taking place over four days. The top finishers from the previous year's LPGA Professionals National Championship, as well as the winner of the PGA Women's Stroke Play Championship are invited each year. The field is cut after the second round to the top 70 players, which includes ties. The finalists and the champion take home their share of a purse, which in 2022, had reached $9 million.
In addition to golf, this event is paired each year with the KPMG Women's Leadership Summit and an ongoing charitable initiative called the KPMG Future Leaders Program — all focused on the development, advancement and empowerment of women on and off the golf course.
