Elle decides she doesn’t have time to jump through the hoops required to incorporate and separate herself from the company.

She pushes through as a sole proprietor, trying to manage funds by applying for more credit cards to keep business and personal expenses separate.

Business begins to taper off because her clients think she appears increasingly disorganized. Even vendors doubt her legitimacy as her mistakes mount.

Side 1 of 2

Elle switches her business from sole proprietorship to a limited liability corporation (LLC). She opens a business account and has a credit card dedicated to Elle-gant Interiors.

As the business grows, she rents out a space to use as a showroom so clients can come in to select materials and view presentations. Eventually, she buys her own space, hiring two assistants and a junior designer.
