Chance has spread himself too thin financially. He defaults on the car loan, and it's repossessed. Embarrassed, Chance moves back home for the summer to work at the auto parts store. He closes both card accounts and swears off credit forever.

The next fall, Chance returns to the car lot and falls in love with a red truck. He applies for a car loan and, this time, is approved at a reasonable interest rate and has a low monthly payment. Chance finishes college with a degree in business.
