What are the benefits of contracting assistance programs?
Though each program offers unique advantages, the biggest perk is special qualification for contracts that the government sets aside to limit competition.
Competitive set-aside contracts
Applies to most contracts under $150,000. Though some set-asides are open to any small business, many are open only to businesses that participate in a contracting assistance program.
Sole-source set-aside contracts
Contracts that can be issued without a competitive bidding process and fulfilled by a single vendor. They are typically available only to businesses that participate in a contracting assistance program.
