Free first checked bag — a savings of up to $160 per round trip

As the primary Cardmember, you and one companion traveling on the same reservation will each receive your first checked bag free (up to a $40 value for the first checked bag, each way, per person) on United-operated flights when purchasing tickets with your United℠ Explorer Card--a savings of up to $160 per round trip.

2 United Club one-time passes per year

25% back on United inflight and Club premium drink purchases

You’ll get 25% back as a statement credit on purchases of food, beverages and Wi-Fi on board United-operated flights and on Club premium drinks when you pay with your United℠ Explorer Card.

Up to $120 Global Entry, TSA PreCheck^® or NEXUS fee credit

Receive a statement credit of up to $120 every four years as reimbursement for the application fee for Global Entry, TSA PreCheck or NEXUS when charged to your card.

Up to $100 in United^® Hotels credit

Receive $50 back as a statement credit on both your 1st and 2nd prepaid hotel stays purchased directly through United^® Hotels with your United℠ Explorer Card, up to $100 each anniversary year.

Up to $60 in credits on rideshare purchases

Enroll to receive up to $5 back as a statement credit each month on rideshare purchases when you pay with your United℠ Explorer Card, up to $60 each calendar year. Yearly opt-in is required.

Up to $50 in United travel credits on Avis or Budget car rental purchases

Up to $100 in credit on JSX purchases

No foreign transaction fees

Purchases made with your United Explorer℠ Card outside the U.S. will not be subject to foreign transaction fees. For example, if you spend $5,000 internationally, you would avoid $150 in foreign transaction fees.

Priority boarding

The primary Cardmember and companions on the same reservation will be invited to board United-operated flights prior to general boarding. To receive priority boarding, include your MileagePlus account number when making your reservation and refer to your United boarding pass for your boarding group number.

3-Month Complimentary Instacart+ Membership

Get complimentary Instacart+ Membership for three months, including unlimited deliveries with $0 delivery fees on eligible orders. After that, you're automatically enrolled in Instacart+ at 25% off the annual rate. Service fees and Terms apply. Benefits end 12/31/27.
