I came here when I was eight years old. And the culture was completely different. We’re raised in a way where you didn’t get into debt. I give my clients the example of my parents. I wish someone would have sat down with my parents when they came here and talked to my parents about, oh we have to do retirement planning. Or this is how you purchase a home or this is how you do investments. They didn’t do that with my parents, so when I sit down with my clients, I’m able to relate that, that I’m here to help them, that I want the best for them, and that’s my job.</p> <h2>On screen:</h2> <p>A montage shows Radhames &quot;Rad&quot; Pineda (a man with dark hair and a short beard) walking into a Chase branch - with a Chase Private Client sign.&quot; An old photo shows Rad, as a young man, with his family. My father’s Dominican and my mother’s Columbian. If someone has access to information for a longer period of time, they have more time to figure it out.</p> <h2>On screen:</h2> <p>A montage shows Rad at the Chase branch at his desk, writing a note and speaking with colleagues.</p> <h2>Rad:</h2> <p>It turns out that many Latinx don’t have access to that information. Or they don’t hear it from someone that looks like them, speaks the same-- not even language, in the same frequency. We’re humans, right, and we like to go in groups. And if one person in the community figured it out, guess what? How I got into what I do now, which is finance and I love it is because I get to educate a lot of my family, a lot of my friends that don’t understand it.</p> <h2>On screen:</h2> <p>A photograph shows Alex as a teenager with his mother and two sisters. Morgan Wealth Management.</p> <h2>Alex:</h2> <p>There are certain terms that they know of. So I start with that, like plazo fijo for example, right? That’s just an annuity if you think about it.
