Here's a summary of what documents you might need to open a Business Complete Banking account in-branch:

 

  • Two forms of personal identification (one that’s government issued).
  • Your tax identification number , Social Security number, TIN or EIN.
  • Legal documentation establishing your business (Articles of Organization, Certificate of Formation) including legal business name, state of registration and registration date.
  • Your Doing Business As (DBA) Certificate, if your business operates under a name other than its legal name.

There is a $15 Monthly Service Fee (MSF) that we’ll waive if you meet any of the below qualifying activities for each Chase Business Complete Checking® account in a monthly statement period. Qualifying activities for how to avoid the MSF: (A) Maintain a linked Chase Private Client Checking℠, JPMorgan Classic Checking, or Private Client Checking Plus account, (B) Meet Chase Military Banking requirements, or (C) Fulfill at least one of the following qualifying activities: (1) Maintain a Minimum Daily Ending Balance of at least $2,000 in the Chase Business Complete Checking account each business day during the monthly statement period, excluding the last business day of the statement period; (2) Have at least $2,000 of aggregate eligible deposits (net of chargebacks, refunds, or other adjustments) into the Chase Business Complete Checking account, at least one day before the end of the monthly statement period, using one or more of the following: Chase QuickAccept® including Chase Smart Terminal℠, InstaMed Patient Payments and InstaMed Patient Portal and/or other eligible Chase Payment Solutions℠ products. Eligible Chase Payment Solutions products have a transaction history that is viewable on Chase Business Online, Chase Connect®, or J.P. Morgan Access®. Eligible deposits must be made from Chase Payment Solutions associated with the same business as your Chase Business Complete Checking account, as reflected in Chase records. The cutoff time for eligible deposits is 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time one day prior to the last day of your Chase Business Complete Checking monthly statement period; or (3) Spend at least $2,000 on eligible Chase Ink® Business card purchases in the most recent monthly Ink card billing cycle, which may be different than your Chase Business Complete Checking monthly statement period. Eligible purchases must be made using Ink Business Card(s) associated with the same business as your Chase Business Complete Checking account, as reflected in Chase records, and must earn Chase Ultimate Rewards® points. Certain purchases and transactions are excluded from earning Ultimate Rewards points, as described in your Rewards Program Agreement available on chase.com/ultimaterewards. Fraud Protection Services is available to eligible business checking accounts and consists of the Positive Pay Service (“Positive Pay Service” or “Check Protection Services”), the Reverse Positive Pay Service ("Reverse Positive Pay" or "Check Monitoring"), and the ACH Debit Block Service. You may not enroll an account in both Check Protection Services and the Check Monitoring or Reverse Positive Pay at the same time.

Reverse Positive Pay or Check Monitoring is a fraud protection service for eligible Chase deposit accounts. There is no fee to enroll. Service activation is subject to Chase approval. Failure to review our transmission of Reverse Positive Pay information or failure to initiate a Reverse Positive Pay presentment decision by the cutoff time for any Item may result in the payment of any such Item unless otherwise agreed to in writing. Customers can’t enroll in both the Reverse Positive Pay and the Positive Pay at the same time.

Chase QuickDeposit℠ (with scanner) enrollment is subject to approval and availability in your area. If approved, a two-year contract is required which includes a check scanner. A monthly maintenance fee of $25 applies for the single feed check scanner option or $50 applies for the multiple feed check scanner option. Additional scanners are available for purchase at a one-time charge of $300 per scanner for the single feed check scanner and $600 per scanner for the multiple feed check scanner (plus applicable sales tax). During the first 60 days, you may, for any reason, cancel the service and return the scanner at no cost. After that, a cancellation fee of $250 applies if the service is discontinued prior to the end of the two-year contract term. All check and deposit item fees will be billed and processed according to your account maintenance fee schedule.

Payments processed, approved and completed by 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET, Sunday through Friday (including holidays), will be deposited into the business owner's Chase business checking account that night.
